First of all, I wanted to let everyone know that Mat made it to Rome and Maddie made it to Moscow! It's been fun texting Mat late at night (morning for him), hearing about lot of things, but in particular, his brothers snoring. He thinks he should get his own hotel room. π He's feeling my pain! We haven't slept in the same bedroom for a very long time, for the exact same reason! I've spent many nights on the couch because there was no where else to go. I even resorted to the car once, when we were in California at hotel, there was no where else to go! Security came knocking on the car window and I begged him to leave me alone! He did. We both sleep more peacefully when I'm not having to push him or pull him all night long. But I'm not convinced that he sleeps any better without me. He still snores something fierce, even with the mouthpiece.
Maddie updated her blog, if you want to follow that! maddieinmoscow.blogspot.com Looks like she's been culture-shocked, but she's figuring things out. I'm grateful she's in a house where her friend, Abby, is with her. Not many houses can accommodate 2 students at a time. They have their own room, but they both sleep on couches! π It's all part of the adventure! If you want to email her, it's 16mulmer2@gmail.com. I'm sure she would love to hear from anyone and everyone!
The post I published before this one is really long. Our ward historian asked me to type up the ways we have seen the hand of the Lord through all this cancer stuff. It was a little overwhelming thinking about the millions of ways we've been blessed, but I think I summed it up pretty well. It's 13 pages and single spaced, but worth the read if your up to it. I (with a some help from a friend) picked out the highlights from 297 blog posts. I'm grateful someone asked me to do this because it's probably something I would have thought about and wanted to do, but with a deadline, it happened.
For anyone I mentioned by name, I only used your last names initial for semi-privacy purposes.
