NED

I was at Huntsman all morning doing labs, meeting with my study coordinator, meeting with Dr. Prystas, waiting for labs, waiting for the study drug to come from pharmacy, etc.  While I was waiting at clinic 3A, Lisa, the social worker over the breast mets group came through the waiting room, and Annie, the social worker who has helped me get through everything along the way, also came through the waiting room!  They were both over the moon with my news!

such a great eye.

I'm going to miss the next group because I'll be in Alaska knocking another item off my bucket list - Northern Lights!  I will miss that great group of women, but I'll be having a blast with my friend Annette experiencing new things in Alaska.

When I talked to Dr. Prystas, she said we'll just keep doing the infusion every three weeks, the hormone shots once a month, and I'll stay on the study drug.  I'm happy I can keep doing everything I've been doing ... this is not the time I'd feel comfortable making any changes to my treatment!

It still feels a little strange having this sudden mind shift, having liver mets "resolved" (the other small spots on my bones and in my lung haven't changed).  Resolved means what cancer remains in my liver is too small to pick up on a CT scan.  We say in the cancer community, NED, or No Evidence of Disease.  And I pray that things will stay that way for a good long time!  NED is a very good place to be!
